Vidi have a comfortable lead at the top of the league table, while they are in the quarterfinals of the Hungarian cup, as well as the League cup.

OTP Bank League - 1st place - 17 games/44 points
Vidi have a rarely seen lead at the top of the OTP league table, picking up 44 points from a possible 51. They have lost just once and drawn two, while winning an impressive fourteen games. That has produced an overall goal difference of 40-6 over the first part of the season, with there being just four matches where the opponents were able to score against the red and blues. Second place MTK trail Vidi by 8 points, with DVTK sitting 12 points behind the leaders.
There have also been excellent performances from the outfield players: Nemanja Nikolics has 16 goals to his name (including 4 assists) to lead the goalscoring table. Adam Gyurcso has set up 11 goals as well as finding the back of the net four times. Roland Juhasz has been named the Hungarian player of the year. Three Vidi players topped the Nemzeti Sport poll: Juhasz, Nikolics and Kovacs.
Hungarian Cup - 4 rounds/4 wins- QF
Videoton beat Testveriseg 7-0 in the first round and then knocked out Kunszallas 8-0 in the following round. Szigetszentmiklós were then beaten 2-1 on their home pitch before another 2-1 win over DVTK at the Sostoi. A two legged affair awaits in the Spring against Pecs, with the first game at the Sostoi stadium on the 4th March. Robert Feczesin has scored 6 goals in this competition.
League Cup - QF
The league cup group stage saw Vidi win 4 matches with a further drawn game and a defeat. They picked up 13 points to win the group. That saw them progress to the knock out stages and a two-legged tie with Dunaujvaros. The first leg was a 2-1 defeat while the second leg during the week resulted in a 3-1 success. Next up will be Debrecen, who defeated Sopron. Feczesin has 10 goals in 8 matches in this cup.

Demolition work will start on the 14th December with the new 14,000 seater stadium planned to be ready by 2017.

The two sides will face each other in the final league match at the stadium before redevelopment begins.
