Videoton have never before been able to collect 44 points from 17 matches, but neither has any other side over recent years.

Ever since Istvan Garancsi has been owner of Videoton FC, which is from December 2007, Vidi have finished top in autumn three times. The 2009/2010 season saw Vidi lead the division with 39 points from 17 league games, with Debrecen in second place at the time with a two goal difference. However, they came back to win the league by a single point. The then Vidi side were almost as effective when it came to scoring goals than the current team. They did concede more goals than the 2014 team. Vidi found themselves at the top of the table a year later after 17 matches with 37 points. The lead was also quite comfortable than it is now. FTC were in second place while Debrecen sat in third. Videoton went on to record their first ever league title win in the clubs history in that season. Only Debrecen over the last six seasons have been able to pick up more than 40 points over the first 17 matches, although they were not able to beat the current points haul set by Videoton.
