Videoton played their second friendly match of the Austrian pre-season against Czech first division side FK Baumit Jablonec. Vidi included young forward Nemanja C in their side, who has spent the last few days on trial, with his fate to be decided by the coaching staff.

The red and blues started the game well and went ahead after 4 minutes. Szolnoki took a long throw, which was flicked on by the trialist for Trebotic to show fantastic movement to find the back of the net from 15 meters out (1-0). Jablonec, who were playing in green and white, had more of the ball following the opening goal, but they were unable to create any chance on the Vidi goal. Kopic tried with some crossballs, but they were not finding the intended target. The most dangerous effort in the first period fell to the Czech side on 42 minutes. Cizek took a free kick from 23 meters, with the ball heading towards the bottom left corner, until Calatayud did well to save.

There were 5 changes at the break from head coach Joan Carrillo. It did not alter the overall picture of the game, which was witnessed in the first 45 minutes. The Czech side continued to have more of the ball, but again without threatening the opponent's goal. Jun Tomas hit a free kick over the bar after 53 minutes. A quick counter attack on 64 minutes saw Nikolics lay the ball in to the path of Kovacs, who made contact from 16 meters out, although the ball ended up going for a corner after coming off the defenders leg. The equalizing goal arrived after 72 minutes after Dolezal Martin headed in to the back of the Vidi net following a cross from the wing (1-1). There was no further change to the score in the remaining 15 minutes, with the end result being a fair 1-1 draw.

Vidi will now travel back to Hungary following this friendly match. The next pre-season friendly game will be on Saturday at 17:00pm when they face French side PSG in Austria.
