The Hungarian FA have decided that a total of 128 clubs, including each of the 16 first division sides, will enter the Hungarian cup at the first round stage. First division sides had previously participated from the third round onwards, while those sides that played European football entered at the fourth round.

First division teams will be seeded in both the first and second round draws, and will not be drawn against each other as a result. The first four rounds will see sides from the lower leagues have the choice of where to play the tie and those games will be decided over one match. The Hungarian cup will then switch to a two-legged basis from the fifth round. The cup starts in August 2014 with the final being played in May 2015.

Cup rounds:

1st round – 9th, 10th and 13th August 2014.
2nd round – 10th September 2014.
3rd round – 24th September 2014.
Last 16 – 29th October 2014.
Quarter finals – 4th March and 1st April 2015.
Semi finals – 8th April and 29th April 2015.
Final– 20th May 2015.
