You played the entire 90 minutes of the friendly match with CSKA Moscow, what was the game like out there on the pitch?

We played matches against good opponents, and we concentrated mainly on the defensive side of our game in the first training camp. We have had more chances to practice on the attacks during this training camp, and it was a pity that we did not score just before their goal. We need to concentrate with this much more, and convert more of the chances that come our way.

There were no problems like these against Evergrande.

The two clubs represent two different levels, but it is true that things went better for us against the Chinese team. Unfortunately it could have gone better against CSKA. We know that many sides will sit back and defend in numbers against us in the league. This is why we need to take the chances and convert them into goals. 

It was possible to practice defending to the maximum against the two strong Moscow sides. 

Yes, these sorts of matches show us a better picture of how our defending has come together, and I feel that we will not have problems with this over the spring.

Vidi face Strømsgodset on Thursday in another friendly. What are you expecting from that game?

Not underestimating the Norwegian side, but perhaps we will have more chances than we did on Monday. I hope that we will score many goals in that friendly! This will be our final match in Spain, so it would be important to close with a win before the start of the season.

You have been in the training camp since virtually the 13th January (you also had a training camp with the national team in between Vidi's two winter training camps). What has this period been like for you and how would you sum up pre-season?

It is never too easy a situation mentally, and I have never spent such a long time away at training camps, so it will be day number 36 by the time I get back home. There are no problems physically, and we can rest and recover over a couple of days, but things are tougher in the head. The most important thing during the final week is to remain mentally fresh. Almost all of the players have done the entire pre-season, which is very important, so that we can look forward to the start of the season in confident mood!
