José Gomes: "We started the match very well scoring an early goal. We then went on to defend confidently after that. Unfortunately we suffered some misfortune, and I am thinking here about the penalty, and also Vinicius' own goal. We also could have scored the winning goal towards the end of the match. Just as I said before the match, the result was not the most important for us. Lets not forget that we usually play against a weaker side at this point of pre-season, but we now came up against a strong side, which made it through to the group stages of the Europa League. Today's game was also good to try out several players in different positions and see what they can do. Stopira played in central defence, Nildo at left back, Papp played in central defence as he did during the summer pre-season. I  also played Haraszti further back, because although he is a good player, there is a need for him to practice defending, and there were more defending tasks in this position, which he coped well with. I am satisfied on the whole with my team, but we still need to work on our ball possession against such strong opponents as today."

Matjaž Kek: "Mindkét csapat számára ez volt az első felkészülési meccs, ehhez képest szerintem kifejezetten élvezetes volt a találkozó. Voltak komoly párharcok, összecsapások, szerencsére sérülés nem történt. Sok munka vár még ránk, de amit ma láttam, azzal nagyjából elégedett voltam."
