Kleinheisler diary: from inside the training camp

The young midfielder will give regular updates from the Videoton training camp in Spain.

"Hi! I am Laszlo Kleinheisler and I will be giving a report to vidi.hu around every three days from the Spanish training camp. I will keep you up to date with all that is going on out here in Spain.

We travelled out from Szekesfehervar to Vienna on Monday morning. We flew out to Spain from the Austrian capital. I enjoy flying, and it is true that when I was with the Puskas Academy, we once flew to a training camp in Turkey. That journey was an uncomfortable one for me as we almost crashed, before eventually landing safely. The trip out to Spain this time went much more smoothly. I played a really good football game while we flew out.

Having arrived in Spain on Monday afternoon, we then checked in to our rooms. We are staying at the same super hotel as we did last year. My roommate is also Donat Zsoter, who I shared with 12 months ago. We had a light training session on Monday morning, which felt good after we travelled throughout the day.

On both Wednesday and Thursday, we had two daily training sessions. It was interesting that in the mornings, the weather is cloudy, while in the afternoon the sun comes out. The weather is much better here than at home. It is around 20c but the evening can be cold.

Breakfast is at 8:15 with lunch at 12:30. Dinner is at around 20:30. There are many different kinds of meals, which are all tasty. We have a little bit of time to prepare for training following breakfast each morning. The pitch is not that far from the hotel, which is around a 10 minute bus journey. Training sessions are quite tough, with plenty of running and ball work. My favourite is when the manager splits us in to three groups and we enjoy various games. I was in the winning team on Wednesday and we won almost all of our games.

We normally rest after lunch, which gives us around two-three hours to relax with free time until our afternoon training session. I always spend this time calling home to speak with my girlfriend and family, as I miss them all very much.

I read a little from the Bible before I go to sleep. I am quite religious and believe in God, but I do not attend church. The Bible is a difficult language to understand, and I do not understand everything inside it, but it does help me to relax when I read it.

Our first friendly match is on Sunday against a Croatian side, who this season have made it through to the Europa League group stage. I am sure that it will be a tough match. I am really looking forward to the match but I will give you a new update before then.
