Videoton Football Club showed just how dangerous they can be through set pieces over the spring season, which has just ended. The tall central defenders were often found in the opponents box, whether it was for a corner or a free kick. A total of 5 goals came from the head of a Vidi player in the second half of the 2012/13 season, and all of them came from a defender!

Videoton FC have several defenders who will always prove a threat in front of the opponents goal. Paulo Vinicius, Marco Caneira, Roland Juhasz and Adrian Szekeres have all featured for Vidi at the heart of defence this season. Adrian Szekeres scored his first ever NB1 goal in the 4-0 away win at Eger. He opened the series of goals from defenders in that game. That was a good match for the youngster as he managed to score two in that game. The next headed goal arrived in the 2-0 home win over Paks on the 20th April. Marco Caneira was on hand to make the game safe after 70 minutes, following a free kick from Adam Gyurcso. Videoton comfortably beat Kecskemet away from home by a 5-1 margin. That match also saw Roland Juhasz score twice.
