Runners up in the league, most goals scored over the 2013 spring season. These are the facts, but what are behind the statistics, and how would you sum up the last 5 months performance?

When we first arrived, we tried hard to get to know the whole team, and I can calmly say that we took over a very good and well organized outfit. We needed a different style of football from the Europa league to Hungarian league. The results over autumn in the Europa league speak for themselves, which saw the defence put together really well. We focused on attacking more, in order to score more goals. I feel that we have managed to give our thoughts over to the players, which has seen us score many goals, and the team play more enjoyable football over the spring. 

The players played their part in this new system?

Yes, 100%. I have to once again look back to the autumn season, when we had strong opponents in the Europa league, and we played with concentration to achieve results, and there was plenty of emphasis placed on the defensive side of the game, and less on the attacks. We were much more attacking in the spring, and it had a good effect on us. 

Can it be a disadvantage that a little over two weeks break, the team will begin pre-season and we can hope for a longer autumn?

This cannot be a problem for any of the players. We knew beforehand that the break would be short, and if we would like to be among the best in European football, we have to accept this, that summer will be short for resting. The real holiday will come at Christmas, and we will all be able to switch off a little.

The team can potentially travel to Kazakhstan or the Faroe Islands, but at the same time, we could be fortunate and face a shorter trip to Slovenia.

It will all depend on the draw. If we are lucky, it will be enough to travel to a neighbouring country, which will be better for the players, but if luck is not with us, we can also end up traveling very far away. We cannot do anything, but to hope for a good draw on the 24th June. 

You arrived together with Jose Gomes in January, who you had earlier known. How would you describe your time in Hungary so far?

I have a good relationship with José, so our working relationship is going well. We think in the same way, and as our families were not with us during the spring, we spent a lot of time together after training sessions, which can only make our relationship stronger.

How do you feel in Szekesfehervar, Budapest, Hungary?

I can only say positives, and I feel really good in Hungary. I have gotten to know really nice people in the town, and also at the club, while the supporters are fantastic. The Hungarian language is not easy, but I am better in English, and everyone is very helpful when it comes to resolving any problems. I can say overall that I have had a very good first few months. 

Where and with whom will you spend your holiday?

I travelled back home to my family for the holiday, and I will be returning back with them for the start of pre-season, The children will start the new term at a school in Hungary.
