Videoton's owner looks back on the season that has just come to an end.
Videoton FC ended the campaign in second place in the league table. How would you sum up the whole season?
If we look at the entire 2012/2013 season, then I think that we can be proud, as we performed well on all fronts. Our run in the Europa league remains unforgettable, which has rarely been seen in Hungarian football over recent decades. Not everything went as well as possible for the team in the league. There are some gaps when I think about what could have been, had we fought harder to remain more within the battle for the league title.
José Gomes took over the side during the winter break. How would you summarize his performance to date?
Sadly, we were forced into making a chance during the half way stage of the season. You can only ever judge the performance of a manager over the entire full season. José Gomes took over at the half way point, which is why I cannot make a serious judgement. It is clear to see that he took things over really well. One way of confirming this is the fact that the team ended the spring season as the top club.
The second place finish means European competition in the summer. Vidi will participate in the Europa League. What are the targets?
Naturally I would like a similar run to that of this season and make it through to the group stages. I feel that we will have an even harder job, as we have less time for regeneration and preparation. The EL first qualification match will be on the 4th July. A lot will depend on who we get in the draw. Whatever the outcome, we will continue to work as we have planned for our club.

Debrecen have won the league title for the seventh time in their history.

The two sides came to a mutual understanding as of the 2nd June.

A goal from Nemanja Nikolics ensured a point at home to DVTK on Sunday.

The two managers spoke to the media shortly after the final whistle.

Videoton will play their final league match of the season at home to DVTK on Sunday.

Adam Gyurcso, Istvan Kovacs and Nemanja Nikolics have all been included in Attila Pinter's national squad.
