The Hungarian league is better than the Portuguese in certain aspects

Defender Kaka spoke to vidi.hu about how he views the Hungarian championship among other things

It was interesting to see at half time in the game with Dynamo Moscow, just how much you spoke with Kevin Kuranyi. You know eachother from the German Bundesliga, but has your relationship remained strong since?

I got to know him when I played for Hertha. It is true that we have never played in the same team, but we became good friends, and we have spoken over a few cups of coffee. Kevin was born in Brazil, and it is just as important for me to have good relationships with those who come from our country. He is also a very friendly and approachable person, so I am proud to call him my friend.

Your wife and child lived with you in Szekesfehervar during the season. Where are your family living now in the middle of pre-season?

They now live in Portugal, as my wife is pregnant, and we are expecting our second child in March. We talk to each other everyday over the internet. Until the baby is born, my wife is unable to travel, so I will be alone for a while in Hungary, but whenever the time allows, they will come out to Szekesfehervar. I am really looking forward to the family being together again.

You have played for some big sides in several leagues. Is the Hungarian league stronger or weaker than what you were counting on?

The Hungarian league is not at all bad, and the competition is quite tight, and each team takes every game seriously. This is very good as there is plenty of effort. The most important for me always is that the club, which I am playing for, should be the best. This is what I am striving for with Videoton as well with all my strength. I do not think that the Hungarian league differs that much from the others in Europe. I am not thinking here about the top leagues, where the finances are totally different, but in Hungary it is better than in Portugal, as 5 or 6 clubs compete until the last round for the league championship. The top three sides in Portugal usually race away from the others after three quarters of the season.
