The pre-season program has changed slightly as Vidi announce the opponents for their first friendly game. Spanish third division side CD El Palo will take on Vidi on Thursday afternoon. The club, which was founded in 1971 are based in Malaga. They find themselves in sixth place in the third level, having picked up 34 points after 20 games, in the 20 strong division. El Palo play their home games at the Estadio Nuevo San Ignacio, which was renovated in 2011. One point of interest is that they play on an artificial pitch at their Malaga home. However, Thursday's game will take place on natural grass on a pitch in Marbella.
