Striker Nemanja Nikolics is satisfied with the surroundings as Vidi prepare for a busy spring season
Five days have now passed since you have been at the training camp in Spain. How do you feel in between the hard work?
Well, Thank you. I feel good, but a little tired, which is completely normal. We need to have a good pre-season, as we have a very tough spring season ahead of us. Training sessions are very hard, but luckily we have been doing plenty of ball work. Even the hardest task is that much easier if there is a ball involved. We will shortly be coming to a new part of pre-season, which will mean that we will play our first friendly match within the next few days. The games will then begin to come thick and fast. I would like to add that the surroundings are perfect for us to train and prepare. The hotel, accommodation and training pitches are of real quality.
You mentioned that the friendlies will shortly be upon us. Are you really looking forward to playing some games rather than just training?
Naturally, we are all waiting to get back on the pitch and play. However, the result will not be the main importance, but rather the tactics that we have been practicing in training. We will try our best to get a result and perform well against our opponents. The same can be said about the domestic league, Hungarian cup and league cup.
Joan Carrillo has been taking training since Paulo Sousa left. Have the players been talking about the present situation?
Paulo worked very well at Vidi. We began something big together for over a year and a half. The results came over the autumn season for us. We would like to achieve even more despite the fact that Paulo has gone. Joan, who has been directing training, is just as dedicated, as Paulo was. The players will do all they can to help him, as we know that the situation is new for him. You cannot see any trace of change in the training sessions. Joan has been holiding very professional training sessions for us. If it ends up being that he is named the new manager, then we will support this to the maximum, but that is not our job to work out who the new manager will be. Our job is out there on the pitch.

Attila Pinter was recently named as the new international manager of Hungary.

The striker also spoke about his delight at playing for his country.
