Siofok began the season with a home defeat, when Honved defeated them by a single goal. They then faced Eger in the next league game, with Norbert Sipos scoring the goal for the Balaton side, in their 1-1 draw. Haladas found it surprisingly easy when they visited Siofok in the third league match of the season, cruising to a 3-0 win to continue their good start to the season. Next up was Győri ETO, and Karoly Horvath's Siofok side made Győr sweat, before they won 3-2 with the winner coming in time added on. However, Siofok showed that they too can play good football, as they almost caused a shock away at Diosgyőr in the last weeks OTP fixture. An opening goal from Pal Szabolcs gave the yellows the lead, but DVTK turned things around in the second half, to emerge winners. That defeat left Siofok at the bottom of the table, with a single point to their name.

There was also plenty of changes to the Siofok playing squad over the summer months.
