Claudiano Bezerra da Silva, also known as Kaka, was born on the 16th May 1981 in São José do Belmonte. His first club was Brazilian side União Bandeirante, before going on loan to several clubs in the same country. The real breakthrough arrived in 2006, when he moved to Europe, and Portuguese side Academica, where he went on to make more than 50 appearances, scoring one goal in the process. He then moved to German side Hertha BSC in 2008, where he played 15 games for the Bundesliga club. Cypriot side Omonia, was his next stop, before returning to Portugal a year later, where Kaka linked up with Braga on a loan deal. He played the entire second half in the Europa league finals between Porto and Braga. He was most recently with Cypriot club APOEL, for whom he played in the Champions League. Videoton have signed the defender on a one year deal, with the option of a further one year extension.
