"I would first of all like to start with the point that it would be useful, if we could all, the people who work within Hungarian football, get together in the interests that the summer break should be longer than the current one. Those team participating in European competition have had to begin their pre-season preparations very early, and that resulted in the players having a very short break to relax and recharge themselves following the previous season. That has meant a putting together the same training work in a shorter period of time. The training sessions at the training camp in Slovenia were very tough for the players, but I was very satisfied with the work that they put in. The heatwave made things more difficult for the players, as it can also be dangerous for them, and we had to pay attention to working in the most effective way, taking into account that there should also be enough time for regeneration. We played three very good friendly matches in Slovenia, and we did not only play with tempo, and energy, but the team played with quality and the level, which we would have like to have seen from them. We will continue to prepare at home, so that we can be in better form by the start of the season" - explained Paulo Sousa.
