Videoton took a huge step in securing second place in the OTP league table, behind Debrecen, who clinched the title on Saturday. Vidi managed to beat Győri ETO with a last minute goal, to open up a three point gap over their third place rivals. The weekend ahead kicks off with an interesting all violet affair between Kecskemet and Ujpest. The home side will be looking to overtake Honved and occupy fourth place. However, Ujpest have picked up form lately, and they drew their big derby match with Ferencvaros on Saturday. 

There are five games on Saturday with Győr entertaining Pecs in the early kick off. Győr have to win to have any chance of still be able to catch Videoton, and they will be up againt a Pecs side, which has struggled to win lately. Ferencvaros have another tricky home game with Siofok. Their last home match saw them surprisingly lose to Papa 2-0, but Lajos Detari's side will be keen to close their season with a strong performance. Detari recently signed an extension to his present contract, and he will looking to strengthen in the summer. Siofok have also had a good season, and have managed to escape any danger of being involved in the relegation struggle, on a low budget. It is a credit to the hard work put in by everyone at the Balaton club, as they look forward to another season of top level football. 

Haladas have had a good spring season, and they will have home advantage against a Diosgyőr side, which has won their last two matches. Lazar Szentes' DVTK side will have to make one of their longest journey's of the season, and will be hoping to pick up a point. However, Haladas are a very strong side on their home pitch. Vasas were finally relegated at the weekend, after they lost 2-1 at Paks. That was the final nail in the coffin of what has been a very tough season, both on and off the pitch. They will now have to re-group and go again next season, with the aim of a quick return. 

Vasas will join ZTE in the second division next season, and they will want to go out in style with a home win over Kaposvar. The visitors just did enough to avoid relegation and manager Tibor Sisa has announced that he will be leaving Kaposvar for a new challenge in the summer. The final game on Saturday is a low key match between bottom side ZTE and Paks, who secured their own future in the first division with their recent wins. Both sides have struggled and been disappointing this season, and with very little to play for, it may not end up the most attractive of games!

There are two games on Sunday with Honved taking on champions Debrecen in Budapest. Debrecen will be looking to go through the season undefeated, but a trip to Honved is never easy for any side. Honved themselves need to get some points to confirm their fourth place in the table, with KTE and Paks hot on their heels. Vidi are involved in the final match of the weekend, when they take on Papa at the Sostoi stadium. A win would confirm a runners up spot for Paulo Sousa's side, following their very impressive spring campaign. Papa showed against Ferencvaros that they can be dangerous but the red and blues should prove too much for Ferenc Bene's Papa side.
