Sunday's opponents have collected 10 wins, 6 draws and lost 5 of their league games to date. That has seen the Budapest side occupy fourth place in the OTP League, which leaves them five points behind Vidi in third place. Paulo Sousa's side could extend that lead to eight points with a home win. They have picked up 7 points of the available 12 over the spring season, but suffered a heavy home defeat to Kecskemet last Friday. That game saw on loan Vidi forward Laszlo Lencse score three goals! The two sides meet for the 85th time at the weekend, with 41 wins so far going to the Kispest side. Vidi have emerged winners 27 times, so Paulo Sousa's side have some catching up to do. There has also been 14 draws between the two over the years. 

Honved's squad weakened somewhat over the winter break with the loss of their two in form strikers. The league's top goalscorer, Danilo, who had scored 14 over the autumn season, departed to further his career with Sion in Switzerland. They also lost 42 times Hungarian international Sandor Torghelle, who moved to Videoton. In their place arrived Hadzic and Ceolin, but the duo have so far found it hard to replace Danilo and Torghelle. Another signing was youngster Delczeg, who joined in the summer from Siofok. He has so far found the back of the opposition net once. Santa has replaced regular keeper Kemenes in recent games, and looks likely to face Nikolics and co on Sunday. 

Honved went out of the Hungarian cup at the 3rd round stage, to little Szigetszentmiklos, losing 2-1 after extra time. They also failed to make it through the group stages of the League cup, with Vidi beating them 2-1 at the Sostoi, following a 1-1 away draw at the Bozsik stadium. However, they did get some form of revenge by beating Videoton 1-0 in Budapest earlier this season. The only goal of the game coming from Danilo, who scored from the penalty spot.
