Vidi's second team suffered a 3-0 defeat to Győri ETO earlier in the competition.

The second key game of the week takes place on Saturday. Videoton FC emerged 2-0 winners over DVTK in the first leg of the League cup quarter finals. Attention now switches to the Hungarian cup and the 16:00 kick off in the 6th round of the cup. The opponents are Győri ETO, who are currently second in the OTP league, a place above Videoton. Both teams spent a period in Belek, Turkey, as part of the winter pre-season. Győr have already played Videoton FC's second team in an earlier round, when they won 3-0, in a match played in Felcsut. However, Saturday's match will be far tougher for Aurel Csertoi's side. 

Győri ETO were involved in several transfers over the winter transfer window. A few players left the club, on a permanant basis as well as loan deals. Ceolin, Arsene, Ganugrava, Lamas, Nicorec and Totadze will all be playing at other clubs over the spring season on loan deals. One arrival from MTK was Mate Patkai, while Roland Varga arrived from Brecia. The final day of the transfer window saw ETO sign Djordje Kamber from ZTE on a 4 year contract. One interesting factor was that Győr were only able to win one of their 8 pre-season friendlies. The most reason game was agianst Slovakian 5th place side Zalata Moravcet, which resulted in a 3-0 win for the green and whites.
