Videoton and Haladas met at the quarter final stage last season
Haladas are the visitors to the Sostoi stadium on Wednesday in the Hungarian cup. The pair met last season in a two-legged game, which saw Vidi win the first match 3-0 at home. The return leg also resulted in a good 3-1 win for the red and blues, who progressed in to the semi-finals as a result of the 6-1 aggregate win.
WIth Videoton already looking comfortable to progress following the good 3-0 home win, Nemanja Nikolics made the tie safe after 37 minutes in the return leg, when he scored Videoton's first goal, making the aggregate score 4-0 at that point. However, Haladas levelled right on half time through Gyurjan, to give the home side a small ray of hope. A penalty from Dusan Vasziljevics gave Vidi the lead on the night, and then substitute Laszlo Lencse made it 3-1 on 69 minutes, giving Haladas no way back. A similar first leg performance would give Vidi a good advantage to take into the second leg, which is due to be played on Saturday in Szombathely.
