Videoton FC were in league cup action on Wednesday afternoon. Paulo Sousa's side managed to pick up their fourth win in a row, to qualify from the group c. Nemanja Nikolics, who has been in very good form lately, scored another double, on the back of Sunday's two goals against Ujpest. Midfielder Dusan Vasziljevics also scored twice to ensure all three points in the group. Gyirmot, who play their football in the second division made a game of it, as they found the back of Somodi's net thanks to Varga and Homonyik. Interestingly the earlier match between the pair at the Sostoi stadium produced the exact same scoreline. The players will now enjoy a short break as there is no league action at the weekend due to the international break. Vidi duo Gyorgy Sandor and Akos Elek missed the league cup match as they were away with the Hungarian national team. Also unavailable were Gosztonyi and Margitics who have linked up with the U21 side. Keepers Mladen Bozovics and FIlip Pajovics are away with the Montenegro and Serbia U19 sides respectfully.
