It was another weekend of football, which saw 16 goals scored in 8 matches. The weekend kick off on Friday, with Siofok and league leaders Debrecen sharing a goaless draw, and a point each. Siofok are a hard side to beat on their own pitch, as Videoton found out recently, when another 0-0 match was played out. There were five matches on the Saturday, with Ujpest, who had not managed to win so far this season, comfortably beating Pecs 4-1 at home. The win lifted them out of the relegation position. Ujpest have made a very disappointing start to the new campaign, which also saw them change their manager. This home win will give them plenty of confidence going forward.

Videoton needed a last minute goal from defender Tamas Vasko, to steal all three points from a determined Haladas side. Győri ETO who have also made a perfect start with seven wins from seven, lost their first two points of the season. They failed to find the back of the Kaposvar net in another 0-0 draw. Kecskemet drew 1-1 with Vasas, who will be Vidi's next opponents in the OTP League. On loan Vidi player, Laszlo Lencse scored KTE's only goal in that match. Papa confirmed their good start to the season with a good 3-1 home win over Honved. The win saw Papa go up to sixth, while Honved slipped to fourth.

Paks and Diosgyőr shared a point each in very hot conditions on Sunday. Paks took the lead, but Diosgyőr, with new signing Tibor Tisza in their team came back. Ferencvaros under the new management of Lajos Detari won their first match of the season. They beat ZTE, who were also under their new coach, who was recend Ferencvaros boss Laszlo Prukner. The 2-0 home win will have calmed many nerves at the Albert stadium, as they also look to move up the league table.
