Nikola Mitrovics, was born on the 2nd January 1987 in the then Yugoslavian city of Kruševac. He began to play for the local Napredak Kruševac club, before going on to establish himself in their first team. He made over one hundred appearances for that side. Mitrovics has also played for FK Partizan and Russian side Nizhny Novgorod, before moving to Hungarian side Ujpest at the start of last season. He became a favourite there making 28 appearances in their first divsion campaign. The 24 year old midfielder has also played once for his national side. Mitrovics spoke to Vidi.hu about his signing.

"I received such an offer at the start that I simply could not refuse. I have joined the best side in Hungary at the current time. It is a big challenge for me to play here and we will have to defend our league title. We also want to do as good as we can in the Champions league, and we will shortly be playing our first game in that competition. I have been training with the squad for the last few days, and my first experiences are that it is a very professional set up. I feel that we have a real chance against Sturm Graz, but we also want to win the Super cup before that."
