Videoton played their second friendly match of their Italian training camp on Tuesday evening
Videoton travelled over to Austria on Tuesday evening to face Ukrainian side Karpati Lviv. The game was played in the scenic surroundings within the village of Felpmas. Paulo Sousa had a second chance to look at his new side play, as they prepare for Champions league football. The two sides were evenly matched in the first half, with both defences remaining in control. There were no goals in the first half, with Sousa making a few changes at the break to freshen things up. Right winger Andras Gosztonyi was getting plenty of the ball and was starting to cause problems for the Lviv defenders. However, it was the Ukrainians who scored first when their forward shot low across the face of the goal, and into the far corner of the net. The goal seemed to wake Videoton up, and the red and blues came more into the game after that.
The equalising goal came shortly after when Dusan Vasziljevics cleverly lifted the ball over the defenders head before calmly hitting it into the back of the net. Vidi continued to attack following that goal but in the end the two team shared a draw, which was probably a fair result on the night. Paulo Sousa would ave been pleased to give as many of his squad players a decent run out against good opponents.
