No rest for the international players

Hungary prepare ahead of their important game with San Marino

The season may have just ended but there will be little rest for Videoton's international players. Zoltan Liptak, Akos Elek and Pal Lazar will not be able to go on a well-earned holiday just yet! They joined in with the other player, in the town centre celebrations, before heading straight to the technical centre at Telki. International manager Sandor Egervari has called his squad together for a quick two-day "training camp." Hungary face Luxemburg on the 3rd July in an international friendly, as they prepare for the important European qualifier on the 7th July, in San Marino. It is the start of a busy few weeks for the Videoton trio, who also have one eye on events at the Sostoi stadium in Fehervar, as new manager Paulo Sousa begins to shape things. Zoltan Liptak took a few minutes out to give his thoughts on things.

Zoltan Liptak: "We had two training sessions today, and there are still two more before we go home. I am perhaps a little more tired than I should be, as we had a busy final few weeks to the league season. We also had two evening to celebrate our championship success, but we cannot unwind just yet! There are still several squad members missing, and they will only join up with the others on Monday." Zoltan also mentioned that he had a "quick" meeting with Videoton's new manager Paulo Sousa. "We did not have the chance to talk about many things, as it was a very quick meeting. One thing that was talked about was that the international players would be coming back for pre-season training on the 16th June."
