It has been another busy weekend of fixtures in the Hungarian Monicomp league. There are just eight matches left to play in the 2010/2011 league season as things start to hot up, at both ends of the league table. Videoton round off this weekend's games, when they travel west to play Haladas.

Bottom side Szolnok kicked off the weekend with a single goal win over Ujpest. Szolnok are a difficult side to beat on their home pitch, as Videoton found out recently, when they drew 1-1 there. Second placed Ferencvaros slipped up when they lost 1-0 at home to fast improving Vasas. That result would have given Vidi a real boost, as they prepare for Sunday's away match at Haladas. Last season's champions Debrecen, continued their miserable run in the league, when they lost at home to relegation threatened Siofok. The Balaton side were leading 3-0 at one stage, and the defeat signalled the departure of manager Scasny after the game. ZTE played out a 1-1 draw with Gyori ETO, and the single point would not have helped either side. Kaposvar confirmed that they will be one of the sides aiming for the top three positions, with a 2-1 win over MTK, who slipped into the relegation zone. Paks took over second place following their 2-0 home win over Kecskemet. The final match saw Papa lose surprisingly at home to Honved by a single goal. A win for Videoton on Sunday, at Haladas, will mean a 13 points lead going into next weekend's fixtures.
