Saturday's match will be the 78th between the two clubs. The game will go a long way to detemining which way the Monicomp league division one season will go. As things stand, Gyorgy Mezey's Videoton have a six point lead over the Budapest side, and also enjoy a better goal difference. Three vital points on Saturday, at the Albert stadium, will give Vidi a nine points lead, with games coming thick and fast. This will be Vidi's second trip to Budapest in the space of four days, after the 1-1 Hungarian cup, quarter final, first leg draw at Honved's Bozsik stadium. There are injury worries for the manager to deal with, but last Saturday's 2-1 home win over MTK, came at just the right  time to give the red and blues the boost they needed. The series of 77 games have produced three separate runs of six unbeaten games against FTC. The first series began back on the 4th April 1974 and went on to the 6th June 1977. The second such run started on the 26th November 1983 and run until the 6th December 1986. The final one is currently ongoing, having  began back on the 21st August 2004, which has seen two wins for Vidi and four drawn matches. This means that if Vidi do not lose Saturday's match, then they would have set a new unbeaten record. 

There is a good chance that  this can happen, as Vidi's record at the Albert stadium is impressive. Ferencvaros last managed to beat Videoton on their own pitch, 8 years ago! That came back on the 5th April 2003, when a Kriston goal gave FTC a 1-0 win over the red and blues. Last season's visit ended in a 2-2 draw, with Vidi's goals coming from Polonkai and Sitku. FTC managed to come back and level the scores, in what could be described as two points lost for Gyorgy Mezey's side.
