Videoton's goaless draw away at Paks, on Wednesday, was not enough to take Gyorgy Mezey's side through to the next round of the League cup. Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Sostoi stadium, gave Paks a precious away goal. Andre Alves' third minute goal was cancelled out by Paks, who scored an equaliser in the second half. Vidi could find no way through Paksi' defence, with Pokorni looking assured in the home goal. Vidi fielded a near full strength side, with one eye on Sunday's league game at Vasas. In the end the 0-0 draw means that Videoton fall out of the competition, with Paks progressing on the away goal rule. However, the red and blues can now concentrate fully on the league and Hungarian cup, while they enjoy a 7 point lead at the top of the Monicomp league table.
