Videoton step up their pre-season campaign on Thursday, with a tough friendly against Spanish Segunda B side Cadiz CF. Nicknamed "El Submarino Amarillo", the yellow submarine, they were last in the Spanish top division in the 2005/2006 league season. They then went on a downward slide, which saw them relegated from the second division in 2008. However, they are sure to provide good opposition to Gyorgy Mezey's side, and it will be interesting to see the outcome of Thursday's friendly, which kicks off at 16:00pm. Hungarian connections:

Cadiz CF included Hungarian player Schroth Lajos in their centenary season of 1989/1990, and he scored one goal in his ten appearances. Another Hungarian to pull on the Cadiz shirt was Jozsef Szendrei, who stayed with them for four seasons. The keeper, who made ten appearances for Hungary, was with the Spanish club between 1988 and 1992, making 79 starts in goal.

Cadiz also have two foreign players including veteran Argentinian Mariano Toedtli, although he has not played for his side this season.
