The two sides first met on August 27th 2006, after Paks were promoted to the top division. The score on that day was 0-0 at the break, before goals from Csaba Csizmadia and Illes Sitku did the damage and gave Vidi a 2-0 away win. That helped Vidi to a fifth place finish, with Paks ending in 11th. The 2008/2009 season saw another good win for Videoton, this time it was by a 4-1 margin, with the goals coming from Vujovics (2), Balazs and Kulcsar. An Andre Alves 67 minute goal was enough to get all three points away at Paks in the return fixture. Last season, the pair met on September 19th 2009, with a 3-0 home win at the Sostoi. Vidi's goals coming from Nagy and a Szakaly double. They managed to complete the double over Paks, with a 2-1 away win with goals coming from Sandor and Nikolics.
