"There is not a lot I can say as a manager of a top side ahead of the Szolnok match." - began manager Gyorgy Mezey. "Our opponents on Sunday will be experienced, strong, disciplined and intelligent, and they have several players in their side who have played many years in the first division.We will need to concentrate and pay attention to them, so that we can break through their defensive wall. I would like to say a few things about our own side. From the players returning back from international football, we will not be able to count on Pal Lazar. Medical tests revealed that their was no injury, but Pal's knee is swollen, and I feel that it would be best to rest him for the game. If he were to play in the match with that knee, it could result in him missing more matches later on. He has not taken part in training for two days. The others are all well, but some of them have been affected by their time away and the  games they played. You can feel the disappointment with the U21 players since they returned. We still have another day though. Keeper Bozsovics has arrived back, and trained on Friday. He performed well for the Montenegro international side, and according to the reports, he was one of the best performers, which is why I have brought him back into the squad.

The time has come for the introduction of Mutumba, as I finally saw such a performance from him, that I had been waiting a while for. Sadly I cannot give him that chance as he complaint of stomach pains in Friday's training session, so he too will miss out. The following will be in the squad for the Szolnok match: Bozsovics, Tujvel, Andics, Lipták, Milanovics, Hidvégi, Vaskó, Farkas, Sándor, Elek, Polonkai, Djordjic, Vasziljevics, Szakály, Gosztonyi, Nagy, Lencse, Vujovics, Nikolics and Alves. Both Margitics and Szolnoki will play for the second team, while Ponczok and Baracskai will feature for the U19 side. The question has been thrown up following the departure of defender Gabor Horvath, as to who will take over the captain's armband. The players agreed that Zoltan Liptak should take that role from now on."
