Alves: Millions will be upset back home about the exit of Brazil

The forward believes that Germany will send the Argentinians home.

Videoton's Brazilian striker, Andre Alves spoke about Brazil's departure from the 2010 World Cup. He was disappointed with the way Brazil went out, but also tipped Argentina to be sent home packing by the Germans. "Just like several millions, I too was expecting Brazil to win the World Cup," said the Vidi striker following the afternoon game between Holland and Brazil. "We sadly had to give up our dreams, despite playing well, as the Dutch still managed to knock us out. They put lots of pressure on us after getting the equaliser, and the hope began to fade after the goal, which came from the corner kick. My feelings are that Dunga, who I hold as a good manager, failed to make the correct decisions before the World Cup, and he also left important players back home. I think this has now rebounded on him.

I am sad. I will be supporting Paraguay from now on, as I come from a town, which is just 150km from the border with them. They will not have an easy job against the Spanish, and they have a very good side. I think that Argentina will be beaten by Germany on Saturday. I feel that Maradona's side are good in attack but not so strong as the Germans in defence. It will be a tough game. This World Cup has been exciting and we will see who ends up winning it."
